Celebrate Cayo Costa Day! Will be held at the Island State Park on Saturday, November 6th from 9 am to 2 pm. Affordable all-inclusive tickets include round-trip boat transportation from three departure points, all activities, and a barbecue lunch provided by BIG NICK’s barbecue.

"This is a great opportunity to take a boat tour of the park and enjoy the unique facilities provided by this pristine barrier island. We thank our charter sponsors for providing transportation services so that visitors (some of which never had the opportunity to come out) can have more Learn about the fascinating history of the park and stroll along the beaches and trails," said Nancy MacPhee, Friends of Cayo Costa.

This day will be a tour of the island, including a walk to the Pioneer Family Cemetery, and a walk on nature and Cannonball Beach. Exhibitions by DEP, FWC, SWFL's Audubon, Calusa Land Trust, CROW and Barrier Island Parks Society will also be on display. Park staff will provide information about state parks. Families can try palm weaving and various shell crafts, or just visit the beach!

Visitors can take the tram across the one-mile-wide island and hold events near the campground.

The fare is US$50 for adults, and US$40 for children under 12 and Friends of Costa members. The all-inclusive price includes transportation to and from the island, all activities, meals and lunch. The event will be rain or shine.

Sponsors include Captiva Cruises, Tropic Star and Kingfisher Fleet cruise services, which provide round-trip transportation (including on a limited, first-come, first-served basis). Participants are encouraged to book as early as possible.

Adventures in Paradise generously provided transportation services to volunteers participating in the event.
